The team

We have an excellent relationship with the local health team who support people with physical disabilities to live at Lynwood House – these include a speech and language therapist, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, an epilepsy nurse and a community nurse, who are readily available.

Lynwood House is situated within a rural community in Midsomer Norton, which has shops and healthcare facilities. We are close to Bath, Bristol, a variety of tourist attractions and the coast.

Our residents enjoy visiting local swimming and therapy pools, the gym, the theatre, the cinema and shopping centres, as well as taking part in trampolining sessions, fully accessible horse riding and trike riding.

Lynwood House is spacious and has two lounges, a dining room and a specialised sensory room, as well as an enclosed secure and safe rear garden that is fully wheelchair accessible.

We have an active in-house activity programme which includes music therapy, interactive storytelling, art and crafts and music and movement. Each bedroom has ensuite facilities.

The home is wheelchair accessible and where appropriate bedrooms and bathrooms can be fully converted to accommodate physical needs, with equipment such as overhead tracking, wet rooms, specialised shower trays and changing facilities.
