Our Home

Cote House is a welcoming nursing care home located in Wiltshire. Through nurse-led care, we empower people with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs to lead fulfilling lives.

We ensure each person’s social, emotional, and clinical needs are continuously supported with expertise and compassion. With a qualified, registered nurse always present, our team confidently and skilfully supports people with:

Epilepsy and diabetes
Mental health and dementia
Dysphagia
Stoma and catheter care
Genetic health conditions
End of life support

Alongside ensuring our housemates are happy and healthy, we nurture a welcoming home that’s fun and vibrant. Our housemates engage in a variety of exciting activities. Ensuring each opportunity is meaningful, we often enjoy therapeutic interactions with miniature ponies, as well as visits from other animal and pet organisations.

We also engage with lots of enriching activities that demonstrate individual strengths, talents, and abilities. From mini concerts to sensory sessions and at-home quizzes, there’s always something joyful happening!

Facilities

Our home has 11 bedrooms spread across two floors. The bedrooms located on the first floor can be accessed via a lift, making the entire home accessible for wheelchair users and those with additional mobility needs.

Our home has lots of communal areas, including a large lounge, conservatory, and a spacious dining room. Our generously sized garden is also wheelchair accessible with raised flower beds and a vegetable plot, where the people we support are encouraged to get involved with gardening!

All our bedrooms are personalised to suit individual needs and tastes. We have tracking hoists and adjustable beds available for those with additional accessibility needs.

Community

Cote House is set within private grounds in a quiet residential area of Chippenham. Locally, you can find beautiful walking routes and plenty of local amenities, including supermarkets, retail shops, and leisure facilities. Our home is conveniently located near local bus routes and train stations, so visiting the home is easy. We also have our own vehicle to access the local community and enjoy adventures further afield.

Our Team

Guided by clinical expertise, our team offer safe support for a range of complex clinical needs. We are committed to improving quality of life for people we support, by offering specialist care in the heart of the community.

Within our comfortable, welcoming home, our team are trained to support people with a range of essential and carefully coordinated clinical interventions. These include vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), tissue viability nursing (TVN) for complex wounds and skin disorders, emergency rescue medication administration, suctioning, syringe drivers, PEG feeding, and supporting respiratory conditions.
