Supporting you
Talbot Court is a well-established nursing residential home in the heart of Sandwell, offering support to ten adults who have a physical and learning disability and other needs, including epilepsy, dementia, Down’s syndrome and cerebral palsy. We can also provide support to people who have terminal illnesses and adults on a supportive pathway with palliative care.
Talbot Court supports people with the utmost dignity and respect and is committed to supporting people sensitively to maintain choice and independence. The home is very friendly and fun, which enables a homely atmosphere and ultimately ensures that every day is a special day that has value and purpose for everyone.
We offer a wide range of meals and will cater for all dietary and cultural requirements.
Facilities
As Talbot Court is a bungalow, all the bedrooms are on the ground floor and are accessible for wheelchair users. There is a large communal lounge and dining area, a spacious kitchen and a laundry room. The home also has a sensory room which is extremely beneficial for the residents.
Each bedroom is decorated to reflect personal tastes. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and there is also a shared adapted bathroom offering spa facilities and a sensory environment, a wet room with overhead tracking and shower trolley and separate shower rooms.
There is a secluded garden at the rear of the property which has a patio area, with table, chairs and parasols where meals can be enjoyed outside in the nice weather.
The team
Our staff provide 24 hour nursing care. The team of trained nursing staff have extensive knowledge and experience comprising of service specific requirements such as PEG feeding, pressure care, wound care etc. The staff team also have good clinical knowledge, they are compassionate, patient, understanding and willing to undertake specialist training to help support and understand the specific challenges conditions can present.
