Astbury View is a purpose-built residential home which offers support to nine adults with a learning disability and/or associated physical disabilities and other complex health needs, such as epilepsy.
Supporting you
We understand the importance of people’s relationships with family and friends and support individuals to maintain regular contact in whatever form they wish. Visits to the service can be arranged in advance or can be impromptu and informal. We can also provide staff to support people on visits to their families.
Facilities
The property has seven spacious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite and level access shower room. All bedrooms and bathrooms have ceiling mounted sling hoists with tracking between to provide safe, comfortable and dignified support to those who require this facility.
There is also an apartment, which consists of two spacious bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, a living room and a kitchen/dining room with height adjustable appliances. The apartment is designed for individuals who would like a little more space or independence and can also be used as a stepping stone between residential and supported living.
The home has spacious communal areas, including a lounge, a large kitchen/dining room, a sensory room and an activity room. There is a garden to the rear of the building with a sensory area and a large, level access patio.
The team
All the staff team are trained in specific areas i.e. skin integrity, pressure care, peg feeding, epilepsy to meet the needs of the people we support. The staff team are dedicated to making sure our residents are at the centre of everything we do at Astbury View and everyone living with us has an annual person-centred review.
