Esmer House is a Prader-Willi syndrome residential care home, providing support to meet the needs of people living with the condition. The specialist home has six bedrooms across two floors and 24-hour support. Residents can enjoy the large lounge area and dining area, as well as a spacious back garden.
Facilities
Esmer House is a friendly and homely service. Our existing residents enjoy spending their time outside in the hotub, or reclining back on the sofa to watch movies on the huge 78 inch TV! The service also has a heated cabin in the back garden, which is often used for our games nights or used as an additional quiet space when needed.
Vacancies
There are currently two room vacancies at Esmer House, that would be ideal for somebody aged between 20-40, looking for a modern home with friendly and sociable housemates.
We have one vacancy on the ground floor, which is a spacious room at the front of the home. The room has access to the two shared bathrooms on the ground floor, one of which is a wetroom shower.
Our second vacancy is a double room on the first floor. This is a quiet room tucked away from the rest of the home and looks over the back garden with access to a shared bathroom.
Case study
When she first moved into Esmer House, Lauren was overweight and had very low mobility. Staff worked with her to improve her diet by introducing calorie controlled meal plans and portion control. Lauren can still enjoy her favourite treats in moderation, keeping her diet healthy. After implementing this change, Lauren saw a huge difference and began to lose weight and introduce exercise. Lauren has now lost three stone and this has significantly benefited her health and mobility!
