Supporting you
Orchard Leigh is a home for up to eight people with mild to severe learning disabilities. We can also meet the needs of individuals with autism or sensory impairment and mental health support requirements.
Our residents take part in numerous activities outside of the home as a group, and also individually with one-to-one support from staff. These activities include swimming, attending day centres and work placements, voluntary work, support with home visits, trips to local attractions, such as the Cotswold Wildlife Park, and plenty of shopping trips.
We offer activities within our home which help people to develop their independent living skills. These include cooking and assisting with meal preparation, gardening and looking after their home grown vegetables, arts and crafts sessions and various themed evenings with entertainment and specially-prepared meals.
Everyone living at Orchard Leigh is involved in all aspects of the running of the service, from planning the menus through to the colour of their bedroom. We have a close network with the families of people living here.
Facilities
We have six large bedrooms with en-suite facilities within the main house. The kitchen/dining room has patio doors which lead onto the decking area and garden, making this an extremely social area of our home, particularly in the summer months.
We also have two flats that to the side of the property suitable for one individual. The flats contains a kitchen, living room, bedroom and en-suite bathroom.
