Our Home

Orchard Leigh is a specialist residential care home located in Cheltenham. Here, we provide high-quality care and support for up to seven people with a learning disability, autistic people, and those with associated emotional and behavioural needs.

Using person-centred care, we empower the people we support to live enriched lives that are meaningful to them. Delivering support tailored to meet individual needs and preferences, everyone is supported to achieve their goals in a way that’s comfortable for them.

Prioritising emotional wellbeing, we encourage each person we support to recognise their emotions and nurture them in a positive way. As part of this, we gently encourage social engagement. As a household, we access a range of community opportunities and activities that reinforce our health and wellbeing.

Alongside enjoying local leisure facilities, we regularly socialise with other nearby Voyage Care services and access outdoor spaces, including the Forest of Dean. Keeping active and building important relationships, the people we support enjoy exciting new experiences and make lasting memories.

Facilities

Our traditional family-style home is in a vibrant residential area. Offering generous living accommodation, our seven-bed home is spread across two floors. Each spacious bedroom benefits from private en-suite facilities and access to a range of shared communal areas. We have a bright and airy lounge and a kitchen-diner overlooking our landscaped garden. Outside, we benefit from a modern, decked patio area and accessibility ramps down to our lawned area.

Community

Our home is within walking distance of various local amenities and public transport links. We also have two vehicles, easily and comfortably supporting individuals to access the community, promoting a wider sense of belonging and opportunities to build important skills.

Our Team

Our team are specially trained to support a wide range of needs, including moderate levels of behaviours of distress. Using disengagement techniques, we support people to manage overwhelm, anxiety and periods of distress, so they can positively reconnect with their environment.

Empowering individual expression, we’re trained in Makaton, so the people we support can confidently and clearly communicate their needs and wishes.
