At Lynwood House we support 10 individuals who have a learning disability and physical disabilities.
Supporting you
We specialize in supporting people with high healthcare needs, including individuals who are PEG fed. The support we offer reflects the needs of each person who lives at Lynwood House.
We encourage everyone to achieve their maximum potential, in terms of social and daily living skills, and to live life to the full.
We are involved with several groups in the local area and the college offers a range of courses, including everyday numbers and words, cooking, IT, boost your confidence and creative literacy.
The team
We have an excellent relationship with the local health team who support people with physical disabilities to live at Lynwood House – these include a speech and language therapist, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, an epilepsy nurse and a community nurse, who are readily available.
Facilities
Lynwood House is spacious and has two lounges, a dining room and a specialised sensory room, as well as an enclosed secure and safe rear garden that is fully wheelchair accessible.
We have an active in-house activity programme which includes music therapy, interactive storytelling, art and crafts and music and movement. Each bedroom has ensuite facilities.
The home is wheelchair accessible and where appropriate bedrooms and bathrooms can be fully converted to accommodate physical needs, with equipment such as overhead tracking, wet rooms, specialised shower trays and changing facilities.
