Our residents are all females, over forty and are supported by a female staff team who have a wealth of experience and qualifications. Oak House positively supports individuals with a learning disability and a range of individual needs including cerebral palsy, schizophrenia, OCD, epilepsy, mobility needs and agoraphobia. We also support autistic adults.
We promote independence, involvement, inclusion, decision making and choice and facilitates new experiences. Person-centred goal plans are formulated with each individual to work towards realising their dreams, aspirations and preferred lifestyles.
There is a positive atmosphere at Oak House with a good balance of opportunities for skill building, learning, relaxation, fun and leisure.
Oak House is a detached property in Crawley within easy access of all amenities including the train station, bus stops, college, leisure centre and swimming pool.
In addition to structured activities the ladies at Oak House enjoy a varied social life including shopping, trips to the coast, theatre, coffee shops, dancing, playing the piano, flower arranging, gardening, pottery, arts and crafts and adult colouring club.
