Supporting you
At Rookery Cottage we can provide high quality care and support to six individuals with a learning disability. We have a stable team of energetic staff who are always sourcing new activity ideas and ensure that choices are offered in all aspects of daily living.
Each person is encouraged to lead an active life and make the most of the local facilities. We support individuals to participate in a range of activities, tailored to their interests and wishes. Some people who live here like to attend museums and theatres, others prefer a quiet drink in the local pub. Most of the people we support enjoy shopping and within the area there are supermarkets which are within walking distance, as well as a Post office, hairdressers and eating facilities.
The people who live at Rookery Cottage are encouraged to become involved in the daily running of the home. The staff support everyone to take an active role in preparing meals.
Facilities
Rookery Cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard to create a warm and inviting environment. There are spacious shared areas, giving people the choice of socialising or spending time alone. These include a large lounge/dining room, where many of the varied activities provided here take place.
We are surrounded by a large well-maintained garden, which provides secluded areas for relaxation as well as the opportunity to participate in outdoor games and activities. The bedrooms are spacious and each person is supported to personalise their own room.
