Mountain Ash is a specialist residential home, designed to support ten people who have physical, sensory and learning disabilities.
Supporting you
The people who live at Mountain Ash are encouraged to participate in in-house activities such as music sessions, arts and crafts, cooking and hydro therapy.
Our residents are aged from their late 30s into their 60s and have limited communication. In response, our staff team are trained in Intensive Support and work actively with people to ensure positive experiences and achievements are photographed to promote continued development and positive engagement.
Facilities
The spacious detached property offers excellent facilities, including the luxury of a hydrotherapy pool with bathing hoist which enables everyone to access the pool.
We also have a sensory room with fibre optic lights, ball pool and sensory items where people can go to chill out and relax.
All rooms are on the ground floor, nine of the bedrooms have ensuite facilities, three of which include baths. Most of the bedrooms and communal bathrooms, the wet room and the sensory room have overhead hoists making these areas accessible for all.
The gardens are all level with good access for wheelchairs. There are ramps leading in to the gardens which are well maintained and have large grass areas as well as a patio with raised flower beds where everyone can get involved in planting.
