Bridge House is a beautiful residential service for 11 adults of mixed gender, aged 18-65. It is a traditional detached house in Taunton, Somerset, just two miles from the centre of town. We provide skilled support for people with a learning disability, epilepsy, mental health needs and challenging behaviour.
Bridge House is a calm, yet stimulating environment where residents enjoy reiki and massage sessions, music, football, table tennis, and in-house arts and crafts. We have onsite vehicles so can take residents to the local gym, swimming, cinema or a walk in the parks nearby. We even have our own fish tank in the lounge area, which offers therapeutic time-out sessions. The service is centred on each person as an individual. Staff are kind and caring, encouraging residents to enjoy the banter and laughter with a home-from-home feel.
The house comprises of an entrance hall, cellar, activity room, utility room, a large communal kitchen, dining room and lounge. The garden is a good size with outdoor seating areas. Our residents like here to sit and feed our chickens, who roam around freely and like to keep the residents entertained.
