Our home offers support for four ladies with a learning disability and additional needs.
Supporting you
The ladies we support are aged betwen their early 20s and 30s and they enjoy an active lifestyle, making the most of local amenities. This includes regular trips to the local cinema, bowling, canoeing at Manor Farm, trampolining and pottery.
The additional needs supported within this home include diabetes, autism and communication difficulties. Makaton is a key feature of the support we provide and further training is received by staff in response to individual needs.
We promote person-centred planning tools in everything we do and giving everyone as much choice as possible is very important to us.
Facilities
The home has a large lounge with dining area and a separate kitchen with breakfast bar. There are two shared bathrooms and a ground floor shower room. The home also has a spacious garden and a fitted activity room.
The activity room has comfortable seating as well as a table and chairs and large television and radio. The ladies can use this space to have quiet time on their own if they want and it also provides additional space for completing group craft work, health and beauty and one-to-one sessions.
