At 358 Worting Road we support eight gentlemen with learning disabilities. We also specialise in supporting individuals with challenging needs and autism.

We give everyone the opportunity to find and take part in activities, work and education opportunities. We promote individuality, respect and empowerment. We aim to enable everyone to develop and build independence, while ensuring their optimum physical and mental wellbeing. We believe everyone should lead a happy, fulfilled life and be supported to achieve their goals and dreams.

Everyone who lives here is involved in decisions on a daily basis and we use visual aids to support this. We hold regular house meetings and key worker meetings to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be involved in the running of the home as well as recruiting new staff, if they wish.

Facilities

Our large detached house is welcoming and well-kept. Each of the large bedrooms has en-suite facilities and we have spacious shared areas and gardens, perfect for socialising and activities.

We are locted close to a range of local amenities and on a bus route to access other areas of Basingstoke. We have a good relationship with the local community and encourage everyone to get involved. We enjoy attending events in the area and are familiar with the staff at local shops.

About Michelle

I have worked in the care industry for over 14 years. I started as a support worker with no care experience and have worked in multiple roles throughout my career ranging from support worker to Operations Manager. I have managed a number of services that have supported adults with learning disabilities and additional health needs such as epilepsy, sight impairment and physical disabilities.

The small triumphs that provide great satisfaction are what has kept my love for the job alive. I love working with people and leading a team who share my passion for the job and motivation to achieve positive outcomes for people we support in our services.
