At Ashleigh House we support eight individuals who have multiple learning disabilities, mental health needs and physical disabilities, such as epilepsy. We can also support those with autistic spectrum conditions and those who may display some challenging behaviours.

Supporting you

Each of our residents have a personalised timetable of activities to meet their needs. As none of our residents are able to communicate verbally, the staff have adopted a variety of communication methods. This includes signing and symbols, to enable each person to make choices about activities, menus and changes to the service.

Facilities

Ashleigh House is a converted large semi-detached town house situated in a suburb of Taunton. This beautiful victorian property has lots of character. Features of the home include a communal lounge with comfy sofas, kitchen, conservatory and dining room. We also have a large front and rear garden with a patio area and plenty of space for summer BBQ’s and garden games! There are also eight car parking spaces.

The team

Our staff are positive and happy and provide consistent support, while never being afraid to try something different to open up new opportunities to our residents.

Ashleigh House is located on the outskirts of pleasant Taunton, within a five minute walk from the town centre. Taunton has a large range of shops, cafes, library, swimming pools, pubs and social clubs for people with disabilities. We have good relationships with our neighbours and make use of local facilities daily. Our aim is for everyone to participate in the community and have progression and personal development.
