At Channel Lea we provide support for three adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, mental health needs and associated complex behaviours

Supporting you

Each person living at Channel Lea has a personalised care package and will be involved in creating person-centred care plans and positive behaviour support plans which enable them to receive consistent support.

This support is delivered by a highly skilled, committed and friendly team of staff. People living at Channel Lea can be supported to develop the independent living skills required to enable them to move onto supported living or independent living if they choose to.

Each person is encouraged to develop their own weekly programme of activities, and the home has built strong links with a local adult education group as well as numerous clubs and groups offering a wide variety of activities and opportunities to socialise and gain new skills.

Facilities

The home itself has a welcoming and friendly environment with a communal lounge and a spacious kitchen/diner. It also has a small back garden that residents can enjoy as they wish.

Channel Lea is set in a quiet residential area of Walmer just a stone’s throw from the local amenities. It has good public transport access to all of the surrounding towns and cities.
