Celebrating “creative approach” in LaingBuisson awards win!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Children’s Complex Care team were crowned winners in the Children’s Services category at the LaingBuisson awards on Thursday 17 November 2022.

The prestigious awards night, now in its 17th year, brings together high achievers in the independent health and social care sector to celebrate excellence, innovation, and outstanding contributions to care delivery.

Winning ways at LaingBuisson awards

Voyage Care have previously claimed multiple victories in the Specialist Care category, so we had high hopes for more success in 2022. However, this year’s competition was fierce, as the awards saw a record-breaking 649 submissions, meaning it was a huge achievement to be shortlisted as finalists in both the Children’s Services and Specialist Care categories.

But before winners were selected, entries underwent rigorous judging by an independent panel of experts from the sector including representatives from the likes of Skills for Care and Care England. After much deliberation, the judges awarded our Children’s Complex Care team the top spot in the Children’s Services category, noting that our recent “achievements demonstrated a really creative child/family-centred approach to operation management.”

First-time win!

Securing the win and beating six other finalists to victory, is a first for Voyage Care in the Children’s Services category, and one the team are particularly proud of. Eileen Lock, Managing Director of our Children’s Complex Care team said, “Winning the Children’s Services award has given the whole team at Voyage Care a real boost! They work so hard to deliver high quality, child-centred care and this award is testament to that team focus.”

The award comes 18 months after the rebranding and repositioning of the Children’s Complex Care team as part of the wider Voyage Care family, back in May 2021. Jayne Davey, Chief Operating Officer at Voyage Care added, “I am delighted our Children’s Complex Care team and their unwavering commitment to clinical excellence has been recognised with this prestigious sector-wide award.

“I’m particularly pleased the judges acknowledged our person-centred approach to care and support as this is something we are incredibly proud of here at Voyage Care.”

The taste for success…

The award takes pride of place at the Children’s Complex Care office, as the team continue to deliver life-changing care and support for vulnerable children, young people and their families across London and surrounding counties.

With their first sector award safely secured, they’ve already set their sights on maintaining the top spot at next year’s LaingBuisson awards!
