Sascha keeps progressing at Sadlers Place

In 2015, Sascha joined Voyage Care as a support worker at Sadlers Place in Walsall and since then her career has been on the up!

“As a Voyage Care employee, I feel I have definitely been given opportunity to progress and further my skill set,” said Sascha.

Over the last couple of years, Sascha has gained new qualifications and has learned to complete managerial tasks which has broadened her knowledge.

“I have completed a NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and I am currently working towards my level 3.

“I have had amazing support from my managers and seniors – they’ve taught me how to complete rotas, shift lead, report maintenance issues, administer medication, update support guidelines and enter petty cash onto our system,” added Sascha.

Sascha told us why she enjoys her job.

“I enjoy my role as support worker as I am able to promote the independence of those I support. I also get to see the people I support learn new tasks, become more independent and more confident in themselves – I find this very rewarding,” said Sascha.

We wish Sascha the best of luck in her level 3 studies.
