The Pleasance is a residential care home located in Doncaster, providing support for up to 15 individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and mental health needs.

Facilities

The Pleasance consists of five buildings, offering a total of 15 comfortable living spaces, each featuring a living room, kitchen area, dining space, and bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.

Each apartment is fully furnished for comfort, including amenities like double or queen size beds, mirrored wardrobes, and TV console tables. The people we support are encouraged to personalise their space to reflect their individual style and tastes.

Every building featured three apartments and a shared communal area, providing a comfortable and homely atmosphere. The communal areas are designed to foster a sense of community and relaxation. Furnished with comfortable settees and decorated to feel like home, these spaces also feature a large console table and a mini-kitchen area. They’re perfect for communal activities such as karaoke nights, games, and arts and crafts.

Outside, the people we support can enjoy patio areas and separate garden spaces for various activities, as well as a decked area with tranquil views of the fields for relaxation and socialising.

Our Registered Manager and management team have an office on-site, with an open-door policy to promote honesty, openness, and transparency with colleagues and the people we support alike.

When it comes to hiring, we take it seriously, encouraging the people we support to be involved, so everyone fits right in. Once on board, new team members are fully trained, so they’re ready to provide the best support possible.

The Pleasance is conveniently situated within a stone’s throw of plenty of handy spots, like nearby shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

We also have easy access to Edlington swimming baths, healthcare centres, several places of worship, and lovely parks all within walking distance.

Further afield, the bus ride to Doncaster town centre is quick and easy. We’re all about helping the people we support access activities and opportunities within the local community, with plenty of options tailored to suit each individual’s preferences.
