New development – opening Spring 2024!

Cleadon Court is the latest addition to our growing portfolio of specialist brain injury rehabilitation services in the North East as part of our 2024 development phase. Located in the heart of South Shields, it will allow provision for an additional 13 beds for those with brain injuries in the area.

Set to open in Spring, 2024, the service will offer active, community-based rehabilitation to those in the early stages of their rehabilitation journey. Split across two wings, the home also benefits from five self-contained apartments , for people ready to transition to more independent living.

Expertly developed home

Spread across two wings, all rooms at our new site are located on the ground floor – ideal for those with additional accessibility needs.

Currently undergoing refurbishment, our new site will be fully repurposed for active brain injury rehabilitation pathways. This includes a dedicated therapy room for people to enjoy a range of on-site therapies, a therapy kitchen, so people can put their re-learnt skills in to practice, en-suite bedrooms, and spacious communal areas.

Cleadon Court is situated in a thriving community, offering the perfect setting for active rehabilitation. Focusing on social re-engagement, functional rehabilitation empowers individuals to develop daily living skills, putting them into practice in everyday settings. This feeds into our slow stream rehabilitation approach that aims to integrate individuals back into the community.

Located closely to Sunderland and Newcastle, the home is only two-miles from the beach and less than six miles from two train stations – ideal for exploring the North East and visiting friends and family.

Our new site benefits from nearby cultural attractions like museums and nature reserves, as well as a local leisure centre shipping outlets, and healthcare provisions.
