Bethia Cottage offers support for five individuals who have learning disabilities and physical disabilities; these may be multiple complex disabilities, including an enduring health condition, epilepsy and some behavioural support needs.
We understand that you have goals and aspirations – we can support you to enjoy a number of activities and experiences. We aim to ensure that day to day home living is part of everyday life, as well as recreation, education and socialising.
Bethia Cottage is a purpose-built bungalow situated in the quiet rural community of Preston, Hull which forms part of the Humberside and East Riding coastal route. It is in close proximity to community facilities, parks and recreation areas.
We have established links with the local community and takes advantage of the facilities available.
We have five large, wheelchair accessible bedrooms. All bedrooms have ceiling tracking to make personal care dignified, safe and more comfortable. We have a number of communal rooms, including a lounge, a quiet room, a dining room and an assisted showering facility.
These have been carefully designed to meet the needs of people with a range of disabilities including specialist baths. We also have a special sensory room. These facilities enable everyone to develop skills and build independence.
There is a garden with lawned areas and a large patio area.
We also have two vehicles to enable the people we support to access activities and the community when they wish.
