Gillian Smith

Gillian qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 1997 and has continued to utilise her clinical skills and experiences throughout her career. Gillian joined Voyage Care in 2002 as a Nurse, before taking on the role of Service Manager of a supported living scheme and then the opening of a nursing respite service in 2005. Gillian spent a number of years working within services, delivering a variety of care models offering support to teams to ensure they deliver a high-quality service, before progressing to Operations Manager in 2009, Acting Operations Director in 2015 and since January 2016, Director of Service Optimisation. Gillian's hard work was acknowledged when she was awarded the prestigious Sade Abayomi award at the Voyage Excellence awards in 2017.
