Devonshire House is our specialist brain injury rehabilitation service located in Manchester.
Supporting You
Located in Ardwick, Manchester, Devonshire House is a specialist 24-bed brain injury rehabilitation service spread across three purposeful wings designed to provide support at each step of the rehabilitation journey.
Facilities
We benefit from lots of thoughtful features, including an on-site gym with adapted, accessible equipment, communal spaces, a sensory garden, and a domestic laundry to promote independent living skills. Within the home, we also have several dining room spaces, therapy areas, two training kitchens, and much more.
We have a dedicated residential wing, designed to deliver active rehabilitation to up to sixteen individuals. Our residential bedrooms are located on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. Four of our residential bedrooms are also fitted with a ceiling track hoist.
Each bedroom is fully furnished and has amenities to enhance comfort and wellbeing, including a wall-mounted TV, USB points, desk and chair, and Wi-Fi access.
Our home also benefits from eight self-contained transitional flats; all located on the ground floor. They are the perfect place for those looking to take the next step in their rehabilitation journey.
Designed in a contemporary style, each flat contains a wet room, bedroom and kitchenette. Plus, they come furnished with a bed, wardrobe, wall mounted TV and USB points, desk and chair, as well as Wi-Fi access. The flats have a separate entrance from the other wings to encourage independent living.

Community
As well as providing a full programme of in-house activities, such as craft sessions, music therapy or sensory sessions, we also encourage you to become active members of the community. This can include using local shops and cafes on a regular basis, looking for volunteering opportunities, or attending courses at local colleges and libraries.
