Markham house is a specialist rehabilitation service offering residential support for adults with brain injuries.
Our dedicated team use a person-centred approach to help the people we support to develop their cognitive and practical skills while regaining their independence.
Situated in a quiet area, our spacious home has 17 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, ideal for private personal care needs and added independence.
We have a large enclosed garden featuring a patio area and water feature, which the people we support enjoy during the warmer months! We encourage all housemates to pitch in and maintain the garden as part of developing their daily living skills.
Markham House also benefits from several open-plan wheelchair accessible bungalows, aimed at individuals who require less support enabling them to live more independently within a safe environment before considering a return to the community.
Our team
Our team spend time with each person at their previous placements, to ensure transitions are as smooth as possible. In addition to our team of highly trained colleagues, we work alongside Therapists who devise implement and regularly review therapy programmes for each person.
These specialists also support the team to use the strategies they have devised on a regular basis.
