Supporting you

Creating a homely environment is key to the home. The aim is to allow day to day home living to be a normal part of life, as well as providing wide opportunities in the community.

The home is person-centred and focuses on individual needs, therefore residents are encouraged to choose what activities they would like to take part in.

We promote independence and provide individuals with a wider outlook and opportunities for the future. Everyone is invited to be involved in all aspects of the home and regular meetings are held to discuss menu planning, holidays, activities and staff recruitment.

Facilities

Hutton Avenue is an adapted two-floor property with private gardens and a large conservatory. The entire home is wheelchair accessible and each bedroom has its own ensuite facilities, fitted with tracking and hoists.

Other features include specialist bathrooms, a sensory room and a training kitchen.

Hutton Avenue is near the centre of Hartlepool, close to health centres, places of worship, parks and shops. The home has established links with the local community and takes advantage of the facilities available within the neighbourhood. Individuals are encouraged and supported to experience a wide range of activities.

We have a fully adapted vehicle to assist with safe transportation and are also able to access healthcare services when necessary.
