Our Home

13 Hutton Avenue is a residential care home located in Hartlepool, County Durham. Our home provides care and support for up to nine individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, epilepsy, learning and physical disabilities, as well as mental health needs.

Creating a homely environment is central to what we do at 13 Hutton Avenue. We strive to make day-to-day living a seamless part of life, while offering opportunities for community engagement.

Our approach is person-centred, focusing on individual preferences and needs, empowering the people we support to choose their activities. Each individual is encouraged to participate in a variety of fun, tailored activities, such as visits to local clubs, the park and seafront walks, cinema trips, bowling, day trips, theatre shows, concerts, and bingo.

Regular meetings are held where everyone can contribute to menu planning, holiday arrangements, activity selection, and even recruitment of team members. We emphasise promoting independence and providing a broad outlook and opportunities for the future.

Facilities

Each of our nine bedrooms is equipped with en-suite facilities, ensuring comfort and accessibility. The entire home is wheelchair accessible, offering a variety of shared communal spaces such as a large garden, conservatory, a sensory room, kitchen and lounge.

From a dedicated training kitchen, to adjustable beds, bed rails, hoists, ceiling tracks, ramps and a lift, we have thoughtfully designed our space to cater for everyone’s needs.
