Supporting you
Located in Hull, Wasdale Court is a residential care home supporting up to nine individuals with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs and challenging behaviour.
Facilities
Our home is made up of three, single-storey, wheelchair accessible buildings, each housing nine individual living spaces. Each living spaces features a cosy living room, a functional kitchen area, a breakfast bar or dining room, and a bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.
Two of the buildings contain three apartments, with a communal area that is designed to be comfortable and homely. The third building has a standalone apartment, perfect for someone who prefers more privacy and independence, but still wants to enjoy our communal facilities whenever they wish.
The people we support are are encouraged to decorate and personalise their apartments to their own individual style and tastes.
Our communal areas are designed to feel homely and comfortable, furnished with settees, and thoughtfully decorated. They include a large console table, a mini-kitchen area, and are set up for various activities like karaoke, games, film nights, and arts and crafts.
Our grounds feature lovely patio areas perfect for enjoying warm summer weather, and large garden spaces ideal for recreational and vocational activities.
Our team
Our support team receives extensive training to help tailor their approach to meet individual needs. With a detailed induction process and continuous training, we ensure they possess the skills necessary to deliver high-quality care.
We strongly advocate for a proactive, structured, and person-centered approach. By emphasising the positive aspects of life and fostering unique skills and talents, we strive to reduce challenging behaviors and create more opportunities for everyone to lead fulfilling lives.
