At Theoc House we provide support to 10 individuals with an acquired or traumatic brain injury. We work with you and your families or friends to build a rehabilitation programme, which works to complement your requirements.
Supporting you
Our aim is to work with you to enable you to regain skills and learn new ones as you move forward into a more independent setting. Our programmes are carefully designed and integrated into your daily routine.
Our support is based on rehabilitation techniques which strive to increase your independence, and your progress will be monitored closely using Goal Attainment Scaling. Speech and Language, neuro-physiotherapy, neuro-occupational therapy and psychology input is available as required.
Facilities
Our home has a secluded garden with a patio area and raised beds, basketball hoop and punch bag. The people we support enjoy socialising, in this area through the summer season. We welcome and encourage family interaction and have barbeques in the summer and celebrate occasions throughout the year.
There are seven bedrooms in the main building, as well as two self-contained flats, one with one bedroom and one with two bedrooms. All bedrooms in the house have ensuite facilities and the option for ceiling tracking, if required. The main house and ground floor flat are wheelchair accessible and we encourage you to personalise your room.
