New Fern is a registered residential home supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Including enduring mental health conditions which require support. New Fern is a six-bed residential property situated in Ovenden, Halifax. It is based over three floors. The service has recently been acquired by Day Opportunities Ltd and is our first service to offer support to those ages 16 – 25.
We encourage everyone to develop their skills and work towards their own individual goals. Each person is supported to make choices and express their hopes and wishes using their preferred form of communication, and to plan activities around these.
Facilities
New Fern has four large individual bedrooms, complemented by accessible communal rooms. There is a large lounge, dining room, quiet area and assisted showering/bathing facilities. The spacious kitchen is fitted with modern appliances, perfect for cooking and baking delicious treats.
This service also has a large sunroom, which faces the rear of the property. The sunroom is made up of two sets of glass patio doors and has great access to the garden. The room lets in plenty of natural light and is the perfect place to have some quiet time!
