Our Home

Drakes Place is a large, welcoming home set across three unique buildings, offering a mix of communal spaces and private bedrooms. Set in five acres of gardens, our home supports people with a range of needs and conditions including autism, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, epilepsy, physical disabilities, mental health and complex care needs, providing a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Supporting You

At Drakes Place, you’ll receive personalised support tailored to your needs and preferences. Our team work closely with you to help you develop skills, maintain independence, and enjoy meaningful daily routines.

You can take part in a wide variety of activities and therapies, from creative sessions, music and arts, and gardening to physical activities, sensory engagement, and life skills programs. You decide the pace of your day so it suits your interests and energy.

You’ll also have a strong voice in your home, with regular meetings and discussions where you can share your opinions and help shape how the home is run.

Facilities

Drakes Place has a range of facilities designed to enhance your wellbeing and independence:

  • Hydrotherapy pool for aquatic therapy and exercise

  • Sensory room for stimulation and relaxation

  • Lift access, ceiling tracking, hoists, and wet rooms to support mobility and accessibility

  • Private gardens and a fruit & vegetable patch for leisure and sensory engagement

Each building has communal lounges, dining areas, and private bedrooms, giving you the choice to socialise or enjoy quiet, personal time.

Our Team

Our team is diverse, skilled, and specially trained to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring you always feel safe and supported.

It’s very important to us that you have maximum choice and control over your life, and we’re here to make that happen safely. Overnight, waking night support is available so all your needs can be met at any time.
