Specialist support and expert teams

To ensure the best outcomes, our Specialist Behavioural Support Services may benefit from the involvement of dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioners. These specialists play a key role in developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies, carefully tailored to meet the individual needs of the people we support. Their expertise helps create a structured, compassionate approach that empowers individuals to thrive.

Tailored training for exceptional support

Our teams undergo comprehensive, highly-specialised training that goes beyond the standard requirements. Every team member completes a minimum of 10 days of specialist training, in addition to core training. This training is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of each service and may include:

Trauma-informed practice: Ensuring teams are equipped to support individuals with a history of trauma with empathy and understanding.

Resilience-building: Helping individuals build the skills and confidence needed to manage challenges and achieve their personal goals.

Community-based forensic support: Supporting individuals with complex needs to live safely and independently in their communities.

Safety interventions: Implementing proactive, ethical strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.

Diagnosis-specific courses and person-centred workshops

To enhance the support we provide, we offer diagnosis-specific courses and person-centred workshops, designed to address the particular challenges and opportunities associated with different conditions. Where possible, these workshops are co-delivered, fostering collaboration and lived-experience insights that enhance understanding and effectiveness.

Compassionate, individualised support

Recognising that many of the individuals we support have experienced significant trauma, our approach prioritises both safety and wellbeing. By combining specialist training, co-delivered learning opportunities, and tailored support strategies, we strive to create an environment that is empathetic, empowering, and effective.

Our commitment is to enable the people we support to lead fulfilling lives, achieve their goals, and build lasting resilience.
