We encourage the people we support to be as independent as is possible, with all the relevant risk assessments carried out for the activities they undertake.
They are supported in a variety of ways, and these range from personal care, shopping and food preparation, to going to activities of their choosing – theatre, cinema, shopping, days out etc. They are also supported to maintain their tenancies and budget their monies and assisted to experience all that they wish in life. Staff accompany persons on holidays when they choose to go.
Located on the outskirts of the town of March, there is access to all local amenities, including shops, sports and recreation centre, cinema, cafes, pubs and social amenities. There is a local bus route connecting the local Fenland towns, a main line railway station with connections to wider East Anglia.
The supported living scheme consisting of a large six bed detached house, with a kitchen/dining room, lounge, utility room, three large wet rooms and one en-suite shower room.The service is fully adapted for those with little mobility, including overhead tracking in all bedrooms, level access wet rooms, one with overhead tracking and a through floor lift between the lower and upper floors.
There are gardens that wrap around the house, which are all level access and has a patio area for outside entertaining.
The atmosphere is happy and relaxed. There is a diverse team that are all fully trained and have specialist training to facilitate with their support, such as epilepsy, diabetes, mobility issues etc.
