Fellowes Way, a supported living home in Stevenage, supports up to four individuals with learning disabilities and other needs.
Fellowes Way is a friendly and active home, which supports individuals to be as independent as possible. The current people supported at Fellowes Way have great relationships both at the home, as well as with their families, who often visit.
The dedicated team of staff, who are available 24 hours a day, plan activities both in the house such as dominos, arts and crafts, and word games, as well as out in the community. People are supported to access the local area and explore new activities or places that they have shown an interest in. They have visited Milton Keynes and the dry ski slopes and often go for trips out using the trains, which they thoroughly enjoy.
Fellowes way is located in a quiet residential area, nearby a range of local amenities. There is a doctor’s surgery, local paper shop, hair dressers, charity shop and pharmacy within walking distance of the home.
There are good local transport links close by – There is a bus stop a 5 minute walk from the house and the train station is near the town centre which has good links to London, Milton Keynes and Cambridge etc.
The property is a large detached house comprising of a communal kitchen and an open plan dining/living room with 2 sets of tables and chairs. There is also a communal laundry room as well as a further communal living room, used as a TV room, which looks out over the garden.
