Cannock Road is a supported living service for men with learning disabilitie and challenging behaviour. We also support autistic adults. The people who live at Cannock Road are predominantly older men who need support to remain healthy and safe and also making the transition from residential to support living.
The local area has great shopping facilities as Cannock Shopping Centre and Hednesford Market Street and less than a mile away. Local areas such as Stafford and Rugeley are easily accessible with train stations and bus stations and with direct train lines to Birmingham also.
Cannock has great opportunities for education with local colleges and universities.
It is 4 bedroom house with 2 communal bathrooms, kitchen, quiet area, lounge and a separate sensory room in the back garden. It has off-road parking, a garage and side access to the garden. The separate sensory room is well equipped with sensory lights, tactile boards and a separate room with gaming equipment and lounge area.
Communal areas are well furnished and decorated by the people we support which has created a homely environment for them to live. The house is adapted for people who have difficulty with mobility such as grab rails all around the home.
Our staff team is trained specifically to support people with specific dietary needs i.e. Dysphagia and for people who may experience challenging behaviours. They are trained in specific communication needs for people who have experienced a stroke.
