At Blenhiem Road we support three residents with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Our aim is to help those we support to be as independent as possible and to lead an active and fulfilling life.
We believe each person should choose how they spend their time and what activities they want to take part in. Our residents are encouraged to enjoy local amenities, with or without staff support as appropriate.
These currently include attending clubs and social groups, as well as meeting up with friends, swimming and going to the cinema.
The home is a five minute walk from the town centre of Deal and the seafront which offers a peacful setting for the people we support. We are also close to bus and train links and have regular trips to explore opportunites further afield.
Blenheim House is a four bedroom property with opportunity to personalise where possible. The people we support can also enjoy a number of shared communal areas such as the licing room, kitchen and bathroom.
The home has a small but relaxing garden setting and residents are encouraged to utilise the planting and growning facility.
The staff team at Blenheim House have worked together for years and are a close group who support each other. They receive ongoing training tailored to the current needs of the individuals they support.
The staff team all have different strengths, allowing them to deliver a diverse care package. There is an overwhelming feeling of trust and respect in the home and a relaxed atmosphere. Any concerns are addressed quickly and efficiently and the happiness of the people we support is paramount.
