Open day success for Esmer House!

Wednesday 11 December marked the opening of the new residential home, Esmer House! After three years, its doors have finally opened in preparation for new residents.

Potential residents, families and commissioners all got the chance to visit the home, offering six bedrooms and specialist support for those living with Prader-Willi syndrome.

Esmer House has already filled three of its six rooms, before doors even opened! On the open day itself, visitors were impressed by the facilities and a possible forth occupant has expressed their interest!

Service Manager, Alex, was very pleased how the day went. “We’ve had another person come today and potentially another strong referral that has come to us. For me, I’m really happy how it’s gone.”

There have been a few bumps in the road, though. This includes property talks not going to plan, causing delays to the service opening.

Managing Director, Antonella, oozed pride for the team behind Esmer House’s development. “It’s admirable that we have got to where we are and I am really proud of the team and all the support they have had from the whole of Voyage Care to get here. It really is a fantastic moment, to fulfil this dream of ours.”

Congratulations to everyone involved with Esmer House!
