The staff and people we support have been busy the last few days – it’s safe to say Santa won’t miss their house this year!
As well as beautifully decorating their two artificial trees, which are placed in the hall and dining area, the team made a trip to a local store to pick up a real Christmas tree for their living room.
After purchasing their huge seven foot tree, the people supported at the home, went shopping for some tree decorations.
Elspeth, a lady supported at the home who has learning disabilities said: “I liked going round the shops to choose all the decorations and I enjoyed it even though it was raining! It was nice going with Tanya and I enjoyed choosing my decorations.”
And it seems that the decorating has certainly impressed one particular resident.
“One of the ladies we support just loves sitting in front of it and looking at it!” said home manager, Olivia.
I’m sure you’ll agree, they did a fantastic job!
New lease of family life for Vera
Vera missed out on family life for over 30 years. Being one of 12 children, Vera always spoke about her relatives and how much she would love to make contact with them… it seemed as though her wish was about to come true, with the help of her support team.
