Although the weather outside was cold and wet, it didn’t stop everyone at Hall Green Road from getting into the festive spirit. As soon as you stepped through the front door, it felt just like Christmas day. Glistening trees, decorations all around and the smell of that morning’s mince pies filled the air. There are lots of people in and out of Hall Green Road, so the sweet treats don’t stay around for long! ‘I did catering at Dudley College’ beamed Michael ‘I love baking’.
Everyone sat together around the dining room table and cut the pastry shapes from the dough, added the mincemeat and pressed on the lids. John was in his element, he couldn’t stop smiling!
Once the mince pies were browning away nicely in the oven, everyone tidied up. Luckily, they don’t take long to bake so it wasn’t long until everyone tucked in!
