Complexity in care needs varies with all children and young people. It may be necessary for healthcare assistants and nurses to complete bespoke, child-specific training tailored to meet the individual needs of the child or young person.

Our process for arranging bespoke training includes:

Assessment

A Clinical Nurse Manager will complete a needs assessment.

Identify Staff

Our team will identify staff best suited to support the individual.

Bespoke Training

Our Clinical Nurse Educators will provide child-specific training.

This ensures our healthcare assistants provide safe, consistent and personalised care to your child or young person. Training covers a range of clinical and specialist procedures which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bowel management
  • Colostomy/Ilesotomy care
  • Complex tracheostomy care (cuffed/fome)
  • Diabetes management
(blood sugar and ketones monitoring, insulin administration)
  • Emergency hickman line training
  • Intermittent catheterisation (male and female)
  • Suprapubic catheter care management
  • Symptom management plans

"They always make sure my daughter has the best possible healthcare assistants for her needs. They offer a personalised service and make us feel like we're the only people they support!"
