Our residents were given the opportunity to operate bric-a-brac stalls as well other various stalls.
Westwood House worked in partnership with their local Tesco, who were supportive of the event and sent their Community Champion along. Local musician, WorriedAboutMike, also sang and played the guitar throughout the event.
The day was a huge success, where Westwood House raised just under £400. The money generated from the day was donated to our chosen charity of the year, Headway – the brain injury association.
One of our residents from Westwood House said:
This was the best day, I am so tired but feel so valued for working today and raising monies to help people with ABIs. I know someone who lives here who has a brain injury, and so does the son of one of our members of staff. It’s great to think all my hard work today will help them.
