Our bank holiday weekend was filled with sun, food, glitter and incredible live music at Chase Park Festival.
It was fantastic being the headline sponsor of the most inclusive festival in the UK and we really got stuck in – which was clear by the stream of purple across the park! We loved greeting everyone at the entrance, handing out free goodie bags, glow sticks and balloons to get everyone in the festival spirit.
We held numerous activities on the day, including our extremely popular face paint/festival glitter stall run by Sam from Tinks Faces – everyone of all ages loved it! We also had a magic selfie mirror (thanks to Sunshine Events!) for festival goers to capture a fun memory of the day, as well as our on the day competition to win up to £100 Amazon vouchers.
The atmosphere was terrific. Chase Park Festival really delivered on their ‘inclusive’ message, with accessible tracks across the park for wheelchair users, accessible changing rooms and toilets, as well as British sign language (BSL) translators on stage. The festival was a family friendly event suitable for all ages and walks of life, which was reflected in the crowd.
The music was diverse yet met the relaxed vibe of the festival. We saw many talented acts on the main stage who got the crowd going, from Cattle and Cane to headliners, The Coral. There were also a number of brilliant acts on the second stage, where aspiring musicians performed, including many who had disabilities. The great music really topped off such a great event.
We had such a fantastic day and already can’t wait for next year!
We want to say a big thank you to all of the Voyage Care ambassadors who came along to support us with the event. It was great to see the people we support and their support workers interacting with the crowd and enjoying the music and activities.
Lastly, we want to say thank you to Chase Park Festival for holding such a unique event and congratulations to our lucky competition winners.
