Plans to speed up the CHC process

NHS EnglandNHS England has announced plans to improve continuing healthcare assessments (CHCs) and reduce delayed transfers of care. These plans will free up to a quarter of the total number of NHS beds needed. We understand finding an appropriate care provider can contribute to these delays.

Voyage Care is a specialist provider of personalised care and support to adults and children with learning disabilities and complex health needs. We have a number of specialist nursing homes across the UK, offering a safe and reassuring setting.

We can also offer nurse-led care packages for people in their own homes. Our team of dedicated paediatric and adult clinical professionals are accustomed to supporting clients with a wide range of complex clinical conditions, such as neurological conditions, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, auto-immune conditions, long term ventilation needs, Total Parental Nutrition (TPN), central line needs, autistic spectrum disorders, mental health conditions such as dementia and challenging behaviour associated with learning disabilities.

"[Staff member] is so bubbly and has a positive outlook on life." They went on to tell us staff always asked "can I do anything? We've got a lovely set of carers, we've been really lucky. We've never needed to change."

"The staff here are marvellous. They treat [family member] like a king. The staff worship the ground he walks on. He loves it here." Another relative told us, "I'm happy with the care here, no complaints whatsoever. [Family member] has come on leaps and bounds since they've been here."
