Grubs up!

Our Senior Management Team put on their brave faces and took part in an ‘I’m a Celebrity Get me out of Here’ Bush Tucker trial for Headway – drawing in a crowd of over 60 colleagues to watch them.

After chewing on crickets, leafcutter ants, silkworm pupae, mixed critters and more, it’s safe to say most of our senior management team will be sticking to their normal lunches from now on.

Micheala Blanche, Risk & Governance Manager, wasn’t too keen on her dish.

“The menu definitely needs expanding! The mopane worm had such a strong flavour; it was really dry,” said Micheala.

Learning & Development Manager Nick Beech munched on a lemon-flavoured chapluline. He said: “The texture was absolutely awful!”

The bush tucker trial brought in a massive £400 for Headway.

“It was such a fantastic event. A brilliant effort by everyone!” said Dave Barlow, Senior BT & Acquired Brain Injury Specialist.
