At 358 Worting Road we support seven gentlemen with learning disabilities. We specialise in supporting individuals with autism who may show behaviours that challenge.
The service is in a suburb on the outskirts of Basingstoke with local facilities and good transport links. We have two service vehicles.
We have a good relationship with the local community and encourage everyone to get involved. We attend events and are familiar with the staff at local shops.
We give everyone the opportunity to take part in activities, work and education. All of the people living at 358 Worting Road have completed college courses and one has moved on to a work placement.
We have a dedicated, well established staff team with vast knowledge and experience. They have a full understanding of each person’s needs and abilities and go the extra mile to ensure everyone has a high quality of life.
We promote individuality, respect and empowerment. We aim to enable everyone to develop and build independence, while ensuring their optimum physical and mental wellbeing. We believe everyone should lead a happy, fulfilled life and be supported to achieve their goals and dreams.
Everyone who lives at the service is involved in decisions on a daily basis and we use visual aids to support this. We hold regular house meetings and key worker meetings and everyone has the opportunity to be involved in recruitment, if they wish.
The service is a large detached house which is welcoming and well-kept. Each of the large bedrooms has en-suite facilities and we have spacious shared areas and gardens.
